Know what you own.

STORD is developing connected storage products that help people know what they own, where it is and the information connected to it.

The problem

The solution

Finding the things we own should be easier.

Personal possessions are spread across drawers, wardrobes, baskets and boxes throughout the home. Once we put something away, it can be hard to remember exactly where to find it.

Traditional storage helps organise possessions, but it does little to help people keep track of what they own. A drawer, box or container can hold an item, but it cannot tell us what it contains, connect us to information about it or help us find it later.

Storage products are often designed as purely functional objects, intended to disappear behind wardrobe and cupboard doors rather than complement the spaces we live in.

A connected system for the things you own.

STORD started with a simple idea: storage could be better designed, better connected and much more useful.

STORD is developing storage products that link your possessions to a digital record of what you own, where it is stored and the information you need to manage it.

Existing solutions address individual parts of home organisation. STORD brings physical storage, location and ownership information together in one system.

STORD products combine considered design and everyday function with a mobile app, creating storage that complements your home while making it easier to keep track of what you own and where it is.

Where we're starting.

Starting with connected storage.

The first STORD products will test whether people see enough value in the connection to buy the products, create digital records for their possessions, and keep using the service.

If customer behaviour supports the proposition, the same model could extend into other types of personal possessions and connected products.

Expansion will follow evidence from the initial market rather than a predetermined product roadmap.
